The honest way to start a fire. Bundles of cedar shavings dipped in beeswax catch quickly and burn long enough to take the kindling, with a clean woodsy scent as they go. Tucked in a basket by the hearth, they are as good to look at as to use. Keep them dry and well away from an open flame until you mean it.
